Life has gone completely crazy lately, as life is wont to do. Luckily I’m just starting out and don’t have a big following to disappoint yet. But it has definitely made me aware that in the future I should try to build up an archive of posts during the good times so that when life demands my full attention, I can still keep the content coming.
I often end up leaving all my little jobs around the house for the weekends. We just never seem to have time to do anything on weeknights (that will be changing).
So for this weekend I have the following things I would like to do:
- Spend some time with my grandparents
- finish my DIY closet-1st phase
- quality time with my significant other
- attend the wellness fair happening in London on Sunday
- Post some things I want to sell on Kijiji
Update October 8, 2015
I did most of what was on my list, and a few other things as well. Once I actually get started, I find that it is more of a stress relief to get things done than it is to procrastinate and do fun things when the to-do items are hanging over my head. The trick is just to let myself have some guilt free fun time after doing a number of items, because my list is just way too long and it’s easy to get overwhelmed.
This is an attempt at finding my place in life and really making my life something which encourages me to truly thrive, rather than just survive. As I’ve always learned best through teaching others, it finally occurred to me that I could apply this to the lessons I’m learning in life as well.
I tend to try to do everything at once, and then crash and burn. Through this medium I plan to make a real attempt to take things slow and steady, brick by brick. I think by having it all out there, it’ll be easier to see where I’m getting myself off track.
In addition, I have always been a bit of a loner, and in truth a bit too independent. In choosing not to seek the help of others, I seem to have isolated myself a great deal in life. So this will be a step towards changing that isolation in my life.
