I’ve been doing a lot of online courses lately, most of them focused on finding my passion. (I’ll talk about them and link to them as time goes on). Recently in one of my courses the book “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It” by Kamal Ravikant was recommended. Since I’m still in the midst of a long battle with severe depression, the title definitely caught my attention.
I bought the book on kindle, and read it through in less than an hour. It’s short and sweet, and priced accordingly. I’m finding it to be very helpful even after just the one read. The author has gone through many similar problems to my own, in particular losing a very close friend and some major career upsets. It was helpful to read that I’m not alone.
I just read the book a couple days ago, but I find myself regularly saying “I love myself, I love myself”. With repetition, you can train your mind to believe anything, even if you don’t believe it when you start. I’ll be very interested to see how things progress from here.
